This phenomenon, which has existed since the beginning of humanity, has somehow become massive and inevitable, a social and political problem that challenges our minds on a daily basis. A cause and a consequence. The "caminantes" (walkers) necklace is inspired by those who have left their birthplace in search of a different life. For the "Inclusion" brooch series, as the title suggests, I was interested in the different definitions of the word inclusion on themes such as mineralogy, sociology and mathematics. The choice of form, inspired by Venn diagrams, explores the ideas of intersection, union and containment used in elementary set theory. By superimposing the printed stones (rock crystal) an intersecting space forms in the middle and the characters overlap, I find the same thing happens in society where different groups of people share space but don't necessarily mix.
