Thanks to her travels and experiences, Dominique Biard possesses a highly original culture that is reflected in her creations, exhibited at the Galerie since 1988. Born in Paris, she studied in Stuttgart and Madrid, traveled to India and Pakistan, and set up a studio in Ibiza.She later enriched her knowledge by working in an archaeology gallery, "Le Sycomore".

An unconventional choice. The artist has a taste for and knowledge of stones. They inspire her. She creates their space as an architect would, with an awareness of volume, light and matter. From the beginning, Dominique has chosen to work with rare stones both raw and cut set on a variety of industrial or natural materials, resulting in rings, earrings, and necklaces of remarkable diversity. She designs jewelry in which the material creates a tangible effect, playing on the smoothness of a cut stone against the roughness of a raw mineral. Some constructions are intricate, following geometric patterns, while others are freer compositions guided by the shape of the stone, framed by a discreet strip of precious metal gray gold, yellow gold, or silver selected to complement the color of the stone. This approach is entirely unconventional.
The artist possesses both taste and knowledge of gemstones. They are her primary inspiration. She creates their space as an architect would, with a deep awareness of volume, light, and material. The stones themselves are rare, both in color and origin. In this way, Dominique Biard constructs her own world, entirely independent of convention a highly personal conception of jewelry.
