Bronze group representing the Virgin of Pity Based on a model by Simon Hurtrelle (1648-1724), 1690, France, 19th century 38 cm x 33 cm Hurtrelle's bronze group of 1690 was his reception piece at the Académie royale de peinture et de sculpture on March 31, 1690, and is now in the Musée du Louvre (MR3248). As can be seen on our bronze, the putto on the right has been replaced by a bronze cross. This lot is presented by Madame Isabelle d'Amécourt (SFEP member). This lot can be viewed by appointment at our premises at 60 rue La Boétie, 75008 Paris, until Wednesday, June 18 inclusive. It will remain on our premises. PLEASE NOTE: THIS LOT MUST BE COLLECTED FROM THE OFFICE AT 60 RUE LA BOÉTIE, 75008 PARIS.
