MALE DOLLS 2020–2024 “It was obvious that the pleasure I took in dressing Barbie dolls would be just as exciting when creating outfits inspired by my men’s collections. The concept was based on a wardrobe: the clothes are made from existing doll clothes, but transformed to resemble real-life looks. I chose the doll styles in the same way I would conduct a casting call: no typical model looks, just different boys and men.” Martin Margiela Source: Martin Margiela’s personal archives.
