GOUDJI (born 1941) Silver bracelet with tiger's eye, by Goudji Forming a domed cuff, with central relief decoration, adorned with an oval tiger's eye cabochon framed by a décor of pearled motifs and geometric elements, and mother-of-pearl inlay, wrist circumference: 15.5 cm, gross weight: 86.61 grs. Signed inside G for Goudji. A silver and tiger eye quatrz bracelet, by Goudji Goudji is a goldsmith and sculptor born in Georgia in 1941. Trained at the Tbilisi Academy of Fine Arts, he left the USSR in the 1970s to settle in Paris, where he was finally able to develop his work freely. As soon as he arrived in France, he began creating jewelry and precious objects inspired by ancient civilizations, Byzantine art and the medieval world. His world, populated by fantastic animals, symbols and sculptural forms, blends gold, silver and hard stones in a powerful, timeless style. Each creation is entirely handcrafted using a hammering and repoussé technique developed by Goudji himself, making each piece unique. Internationally renowned, Goudji creates jewelry as well as major liturgical objects for cathedrals, the Vatican and Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris. Goudji is a goldsmith and sculptor born in Georgia in 1941.
