Delphine Nardin by Naïla de Monbrison Gleaning has always been a vital and necessary resource for Delphine. She draws from it the materials from which she builds her jewelry: driftwood, glass frosted by the sea, fragments of shells, vestiges of the living, which bear the imprint of time. The archaic, primitive dimension of these materials is timeless for her, and links her work to a form of contemporary archaeology, which reconnects her to her training in geology and archaeology. She combines frosted glass with gold, ennobles driftwood with a bronze patina, and transposes living remains into silver imprints using the lost-wax casting process.By imagining mobile architectures, playing with fullness and emptiness, it's a certain idea of beauty a certain idea of beauty. Delphine Nardin has exhibited several times at galerie Naïla de Monbrison, including two solo shows in 2024 and 2019.
