Forming a sphere made of flower powder and black Burmese lacquer, a small keshi pearl and adorned with a small gold pastille, the bélière in 18K (750) gold, on an adjustable black rope cord.

Size: approx. 54 cm.
Rose Morant collects flower offerings from a pagoda near her workshop in Burma. These jewel-spheres are wearable sculptures and talismans of sorts for those who wear them.
This pendant was created for Rose Morant's solo exhibition at Galerie Naila de Monbrison in 2019.

Her particular interest in traditional techniques led Rose Morant to set up her lacquer workshop in Asia.For this new exhibition, in which she displays some of the iconic spheres of her sculptural work, she offers jewelry made from ancestral materials such as lacquer, gold leaf, precious stones, metals and, above all, flower powders.Splinters of colored glass or gold, and small spheres are the basis of her new creations: with jade pendants and bracelets, long earrings composed of precious stones.Thanks to this alchemy, Rose Morant renews contemporary jewelry in this luminous exhibition.
