Catherine LE GAL (b. 1966) Pair of interchangeable earrings in vermeil, silver, brass and lacquer, 2018 The gold-leafed silver ear studs (Korean Keum boo technique) hold square interchangeable plates with rounded edges in gold-leafed silver (800) and brass with red lacquer decoration Unsigned, hallmark of Catherine Le Gal One of a kind Size: 4.6 x 4 cm, Gross weight: 19.91 grs. These earrings were created for Catherine Le Gal's solo exhibition at Galerie Naila de Monbrison in 2018. "Keum Boo" is a Korean technique that involves applying a very thin sheet of pure gold to pure silver or 925 silver heated to a very high temperature.
