The necklace is made of a nylon cord holding a large pendant adorned with an elongated rock crystal held in place by a fishnet and lacing of fine bamboo strips.

Tina Chow is an American model, muse and jewelry designer, an emblematic figure of the minimalist style of the 1970s and 1980s. Born Bettina Louise Lutz in Ohio to an American father and a Japanese mother, she grew up between the United States and Japan, a dual culture that would profoundly influence her aesthetic.
In the 1970s, she established herself as a model and fashion icon, collaborating with major photographers and becoming close to designers such as Issey Miyake and Yves Saint Laurent. Married to restaurateur Michael Chow, founder of Mr. Chow restaurants, she moved to the heart of the New York art scene, frequenting Andy Warhol.
From the mid-1980s, Tina Chow devoted herself to jewelry design. Her pieces are characterized by a pure, spiritual aesthetic, combining natural materials such as rock crystal, quartz, gold, silver and bamboo. Inspired by Japanese craftsmanship and the search for harmony and energy in stones, her creations combine formal simplicity with a strong sculptural presence.
Naîla de Monbrison met Tina Chow when she opened her gallery in 1987. She fell in love with her work and decided to devote her first solo exhibition to her in 1988. The exhibition was a huge success.
