CHRISTIAN DIOR HAUTE COUTURE BY JOHN GALLIANO Trouser suit, "Surrealist" collection, Spring/Summer 1999 A back to front suit, 'Surrealist' collection Spring/Summer 1999 Look 1, labelled and numbered 30359, 30360, the double-breasted jacket and trousers of Prince of Wales checked wool by Holland & Sherry, the right leg with extra floating panel, lined in white Buche crepe satin, chest approx 92cm 36in ; waist 76cm, 30in ; with a Dior cream felt beret; and a pair of matching Prince of Wales checked shoes with cream leather toes, size 40 (4) Celine Dion was famously photographed wearing a similar suit in white satin. To the Academy Awards that year which was poorly received by the press.
