Marc HELD (born 1932) Two single beds with tube feet, designed in 1966. Double shells in fiberglass and white ABS, joined by black rubber. Published by Prisunic and Créateurs et Industriels Dim.: 31 x 199 x 80 cm Provenance: Port Barcares In 1969, at the request of advertising executive Jacques Séguéla, Marc Held designed a set of furniture for a project by Candilis, an architect from Port-Barcarès (Pyrénées-Orientales). The aim was to provide low-cost furnishings for vacation apartments sold furnished. This ultra-simple bed is a masterly demonstration of constructive simplicity.
