Marcel GROMAIRE (1892-1971) Savings,1937 Watercolor and India ink on paper Signature stamp lower left Dimensions: 59 x19 cm. The upper part of the work, l'Epargne, and the lower part, la Moisson, were sold at public auction on several occasions. Provenance: Gromaire family collection Acquired from Galerie de la Présidence, Paris in 2012 Bibliography The original work, the gouache on canvas l'Epargne, is listed in the catalog raisonné of Marcel Gromaire's work, "Marcel Gromaire, la vie et l'oeuvre, catalog raisonné des peintures", François Gromaire, Francoise Chibret-Plos, éditions la Bibliothèque des Arts Paris, 1993, page 177, no. 466.
