MARCEL BOUCHER Half-set consisting of a pair of ear clips and a metal and rhinestone brooch forming linear motifs. Signed on back plate. Dimensions earrings: 2 x 3.5 cm; brooch: 7.5 x 2.3 cm. Good overall condition. First apprenticed to Cartier in France, then in New York, Marcel Boucher joined forces with Albert Halberstadt in 1937 to devote himself entirely to the creation of costume jewelry. For him, costume jewelry was an opportunity to create infinite designs, imitating high-end pieces using top-quality materials. His brooches in the shape of fruit, flowers and animals, his enamelled work and his spectacular pieces have earned him an international reputation in this field. First an apprentice at Cartier in France and then in New York, Marcel Boucher joined forces with Albert Halberstadt in 1937 to fully dedicate himself to the creation of costume jewellery.
