MARCEL BOUCHER Set of two brooches including : - Brooch with fleur-de-lis motif enameled in yellow, red, green and punctuated with white stones. Goldsmith's hallmark on back. 8.5 x 5 cm. Stone missing, wear to enamel. - Stylized spray brooch in metal and white stones. Signed on the back and numbered PAD PEND 3369. 5 x 9 cm. Good condition. First apprenticed to Cartier in France, then in New York, Marcel Boucher joined Albert Halberstadt in 1937 to devote himself entirely to the creation of costume jewelry. For him, costume jewelry was an opportunity to create infinite designs, imitating high-end pieces using top-quality materials. His brooches in the shape of fruit, flowers and animals, his enamelled work and his spectacular pieces have earned him an international reputation in this field. First an apprentice at Cartier in France and then in New York, Marcel Boucher joined forces with Albert Halberstadt in 1937 to fully dedicate himself to the creation of costume jewellery. The fancy jewelry is for him the opportunity to create endlessly, imitating high-end pieces thanks to superior materials. His brooches in the shape of fruit, flowers and animals, his enamelled works and his spectacular pieces have earned him an international reputation in this field.
