Leon POLK SMITH (19096-1996) Torn Drawings, 1965 Portfolio of 10 lithographs in facsimile, published on the occasion of Leon Polk Smith's exhibition in October 1965 at the Chalette Gallery, New York. Produced by Daniel Jacomet, Paris and Profile Press, New York Numbered XXI/XL, from a total of 500 copies. Each plate is signed and numbered. Fascinated by the graphic beauty of the torn line he had accidentally created, Leon Polk Smith began intentionally tearing colored paper.
