Barbro NILSSON (1899 - 1983) Gallery, Rosepath model Created in 1943 In white and black wool Monogrammed Edition Märta Måås-Fjetterström Studio 438 x 77.5 cm (1) Barbro Nilsson was artistic director of Sutidio Märta Måås-Fjetterström from 1942 to 1970. The weaving technique known as "rosepath" is a typical old Swedish weaving technique, mostly practiced in Dalarna county. The technique was used both in traditional clothing and as decoration on home textiles. The material used for both warp and weft is wool, sometimes mixed with goat hair. This makes the carpet resistant and gives it a slightly rough, typical feel.
