A set of ceramic plates by Peter and Denise Orlando Peter Orlando and Denise Delgoule, known as Orlando, met in 1945 during the Liberation of Paris. They married in 1946 and moved to the United States for a time. But Peter's teachers advised him to return to Paris and offered him a scholarship to join Maurice Brianchon's studio. In 1950, they took up ceramics. From 1950 to 1968, they produced free-form ceramic pieces in their studio in the 17th arrondissement. Their work is quite singular: inspired by Mirò, the ceramic pieces are covered with light, colorful motifs. The service piece we're presenting is highly representative of their work. - Peter Orlando and Denise Delgoule, known as Orlando, met in 1945 during the Liberation of Paris. They got married in 1946 and spent some time living in the United States. However, Peter's professors advised him to return to Paris and offered him a scholarship to join Maurice Brianchon's workshop. In 1950, they ventured into ceramics. From 1950 to 1968, they created ceramic pieces with free forms in their studio in the 17th arrondissement. Their works were truly unique: inspired by Miro, the ceramic pieces were covered with light and colorful patterns. The tableware set we are presenting is a true representation of their work.
